It’s that time of year again! The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and colored eggs are everywhere. Easter is an exciting time of year for little ones. It brings opportunities to get back outside after a long winter and begin to enjoy the spring air. This Easter season, in addition to all the fun town egg hunts, why not try something a little different? In this post, I will highlight some of the exciting Easter events in NJ that offer opportunities for kids to play and learn. Make sure to keep checking back because I will be adding more events as they are announced!
Brain Boosting Easter Fun in NJ
Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Liberty Hall Museum
The Liberty Hall Museum will host an incredible Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 at 10am and 12pm. There will also be a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! Afterwards, visit this historic museum that will teach you all about American history.
Colonial Easter Bunny at Historic Smithville
Visit Historic Smithville this March for a chance to see the strolling Easter Bunny. There will also be a parade on March 31. You can also follow the Easter Bunny on all of his adventures around the village on Facebook.
Easter Egg Hunt at Storybook Land
On March 28, 29, 20, and April 1, head to Storybook Land for a fun Easter Egg Hunt with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny. After all the egg hunting fun, make sure to explore the park. This event is included with admission.
EGGstravaganza at Bergen County Zoo
Visit the Bergen County Zoo on March 23 and 24 10am-3pm for some Easter family fun. Guests will enjoy a day filled with treats, shows, activities, and more. Guests will also get to meet the Easter Bunny and other characters throughout the event. The event costs $5/child, and parents must register their children in advance. Make sure you leave some time to explore the zoo too!
Easter ExtravaganZOO at Cape May County Zoo
On March 29, 10am-3pm, families can enjoy a fun and FREE Easter event at the Cape May County Zoo. The event includes educational displays, a scavenger hunt, live animal encounters, and crafts. There will also be an egg hunt, and guests can take a picture with the Easter Bunny!
Spring Forest Egg Hunt
On March 23 9:30am-12pm, Essex County Environmental Center is hosting this unique Egg Hunt which starts with story time. Then there will be an egg hunt at ECEC forest grounds. Children will be encouraged to turn in eggs for special prizes. The cost is $15 and advanced registration is required for this event.
19th Century East Celebration at the Historic Village of Allaire
On March 23 and 30 11am-4pm, families can explore this historic village while enjoying fun Easter activities like a scavenger hunt, egg dying, bonnet decorating, and more. Guests can also enjoy 19th century demonstrations and visit the historic buildings. Tickets are $10/person and must be purchased in advance.
Easter Eggstravaganza at G & G Stables
This Easter season head down to Howell, NJ for a unique family experience. On March 16, 17, 23, 24, and 30, guests of G & G Stables can enjoy an egg hunt, petting zoo, unlimited hayrides, barrel ride, games, and more. Admission is $10 for adults and $15 for children. Pictures with the Easter Bunny are also available for an additional fee.
Easter Fun on the Farm
One of my favorite springtime activities is to explore a farm. I love seeing all the beautiful flowers and petting the adorable baby animals. I also love all the Easter fun. We are so lucky to live in the Garden State because we have plenty of farms to choose from with exciting, family-friendly activities.
