“No job is too big. No pup is too small!” ~ Ryder
If your kids LOVE PAW Patrol, then this is the post for you! PAW Patrol is a group of lovable pups who work together to help those in need. Each pup has a special skill that helps them in their adventures. While watching these adorable pups save the day, kids learn about problem solving, teamwork, and friendship. PAW Patrol also helps little ones increase language development and academic skills.
I know there are a lot of fun PAW Patrol toys out there, (we had most of them), but in this post I wanted to highlight some fun activities for the PAW Patrol fan in your house. From interactive experiences to LIVE shows to upcycling, there are so many fun activities to celebrate your little one’s love of these adorable pups. Here are some of our favorites!
PAW Patrol Activities for Kids
The PAW Patrol Experience at Camp
Pack up your little PAW Patrol fan and head on over to Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ for endless fun and learning! Be a part of the pack with this immersive experience. With themed areas, fun activities, interactive games, and more, the PAW Patrol Experience is the perfect adventure for your little one. Tickets are required for ages 2 and up and can be purchased in advance on the Camp website. Admission is good for 35 minutes of nonstop fun.
Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol LIVE
On December 30-31, your favorite pups are heading to NJPAC for an exciting adventure LIVE on stage! The Great Pirate Adventure takes audience members on a journey across land and sea in search of buried treasure. Ryder and the pups also have to rescue Cap’n Turbot from a mysterious cavern. They even get help from the newest pup, Tracker. Tickets are on sale now on the NJPAC website!
Vroom, Vroom: Vehicle Fun
A fun PAW Patrol activity that every kid will love is playing with vehicles of all kinds! To start, set up a space to play. This can include a PAW Patrol playmat /carpet (or any carpet with tracks), a designated area outside outlined with chalk, or even repurposing a train table. Equip your kids with all different kinds of vehicles like the ones used in the show and let their imaginations soar. Encouraging pretend play helps build important language, social, and cognitive skills.
Visit the Local Police Station or Firehouse
A great way to learn more about Chase and Marshall’s jobs is to visit your local police station or firehouse. Through scouts, we have toured several local firehouses and the police station. It is such a wonderful learning experience for kids. Some places will let you even try on the gear, climb inside a firetruck, or even sit inside a real jail cell. Kids can also ask questions to learn more about being a police officer and fireman.
Go Digging
Whether it’s in your backyard, in a sandbox, or using a sensory bin, going digging is a fun activity for all ages! The kids can have fun finding unique bugs and other objects in the ground or you can hide items in the sandbox and see who can find them first. You can also bring digger toys to the beach for even more digging fun. Another option that does not involve going outside is using a sensory bin. You can make your own or buy a fun construction themed one.
Volunteer at Animal Shelter
The pups love helping others so why not give back and help other pups in need? Volunteering at a local animal shelter teaches kids about responsibility and caring for others. If your child is too young to assist at the shelter, help them donate items or have their own Pet Supply Drive to support their local shelter.
Upcycle
Encourage your kids to be like Rocky and recycle, but you can take things to the next level by upcycling! What is upcycling you ask? It is taking something that was once trash and turning into something new. For example, have your kids take toilet paper rolls and turn them into a craft or take those water bottles and make them into a robot. You can even turn an old pizza box into a solar oven (pictured above). The possibilities are endless!
Join Cub Scouts
What better way to be a part of your own PACK then to join Cub Scouts! Your child’s scouting journey can start when they are as little as age 5 (Kindergarten) as a Lion Cub. Through scouting, kids learn about teamwork, problem solving, building friendships, and taking care of the environment, all skills the PAW Patrol pups emulate every day.
Read, Read, Read
Every activities list from Mommy University includes reading, and why not? It is the best way to learn and grow. Stories take kids on their own adventures. As they get older, you can even have them write their own PAW Patrol themed story filled with adventure. Here are some books I recommend (with Amazon affiliate links):
- PAW Patrol 5-Minute Stories Collection
- PAW Patrol Little Golden Book Library
- Holiday Helpers
- Personalized PAW Patrol Book
