Ready, Set…Play! 3 Brain Boosting Toys for Tweens and Teens

As my boys get older, it becomes harder to find toys that capture their interest and offer a challenge. If you follow Mommy University, then you already know that I love encouraging learning through play. Since my boys were babies, I have sought out toys and games that foster development in all areas. Even though my kids are now entering a new stage, I still look for toys that will help them grow and learn. That is why I am so excited to receive 3 new toys that check off all of my boxes!

All Pro Passer Robotic Quarterback

My son LOVES playing football. His season goes from August to November, but he wants to play all year long. That is why I am so excited about the All Pro Passer. Although we love going outside and practicing with my son, sometimes that is just not possible. The Robotic Quarterback allows kids to practice all year round, with or without the help of their parents.

Spybots Room Guardian

If you have multiple children, then I am sure you have heard, “Get out of my room!” more times than you can count. As my boys get older, they are especially more particular about their rooms and the things they have in their room. Although they like to share and play games together, there are some things that they just don’t want anyone to touch. Since I am not a fan of putting a lock on a child’s door, I am so excited for the release of Spybots Room Guardian!

The Spybot Room Guardian offers 24/7 security for your child’s room! (Except for parents, we are always allowed in.) This motion activated robot can be hung on your child’s door to keep unwanted visitors out. It only requires 3 AAA batteries to be activated. When someone approaches the room, the Spybot goes into “armed alert mode.” Enter the correct code, and you are cleared to enter. Enter the wrong code (or no code), and you will get caught! The Spybot’s alarm will sound and lights will flash when an unwanted guest is trying to get in. The words “Intruder, intruder!” will be heard across the house so you better run if you don’t have permission to enter.

What I love about the Spybot Room Guardian is that not only does it offer kids independence, it also helps build important STEM skills. I also love that the Spybot can be used in multiple ways. We are big fans of Laser X in our house! We have several sets, and my boys love to play with them inside and outside. Laser X Revolution Ultra Long Range Blasters are a perfect addition to our collection, especially since ALL Laser X toys can be used together. That means they can also play with their friends.

Laser X Revolution comes with 2 blasters, each with a 500 foot blasting range making them perfect for outdoor play. The set only needs 6 AAA batteries, and there is no assembly required. Each blaster can light up blue or red like the other Laser X blasters we have; however, this set offers an additional 18 colors to choose from. What makes this set different from our other sets is that Laser X Revolution Ultra Long Range Blasters does not require any chest or armband receivers. Players just have to aim at their opponent’s blaster to score a point. This allows for more mobility. It is important to note that Laser X does NOT use a real laser. Instead, it uses an invisible infrared beam.
