We LOVE train rides at Mommy University especially ones that invoke the spirit and wonder of the holidays. A holiday train ride offers a unique family experience that is perfect for kicking off the holiday season. This year, we are so excited to partner with the Tri-State Railway Historical Society to bring you information on the 25th Annual Santa Train! On December 9, 2017, train enthusiast can head to Wayne, NJ and climb aboard for a memorable family adventure!
For those that don’t know, the Tri-State Railway Historical Society is a non-profit educational organization that thrives on preserving New Jersey’s railroad heritage. There is a rich history of railway travel in NJ, and the Tri-State Railway Historical Society ensures that it is not forgotten but also honored and admired. The Santa Train helps raise money for this amazing organization while inspiring a love of trains.
The Santa Train is a 60 minute round-trip ride that departs from Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center. Trains depart at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. It is important to note that due to the popularity of this experience, the 11am and 3pm rides are already sold out. The Santa Train is the most affordable holiday train ride around as the tickets are only $20/adult and $10/children under the age of 12. Infants in laps are FREE! There is also a 10% discount for groups of 20 or more making it a great excursion for scout groups and holiday family reunions.
So what can you expect on The Santa Train? One of the most memorable holiday experiences EVER of course! Guests will ride in a modern, restroom-equipped passenger train making for a comfortable riding experience for all ages. As you enjoy your ride, kids will be delighted to see Santa stroll down the aisle with gifts in hand. Each child will have the chance to take a picture with Santa and will receive a special present! Candy canes will also be distributed to add to the holiday fun.
A holiday train ride offers a festive and joyous way to come together as a family and celebrate the season of giving. The Santa Train not only allows friends and families to celebrate but also give back to the train community as this event raises money for the Tri-State Railway Historical Society.
