If you are looking for Halloween fun for the little ones, then make sure to visit Six Flags Great Adventure this fall. From now through October 31, guests can enjoy family friendly rides and spooktacular experiences all across the park at Kids Boo Fest. This daytime event is for all ages and is included with admission.
As soon as you enter Six Flags Great Adventure on a crisp fall day, you can feel the excitement in the air. From the incredible decorations to delicious food to the fun entertainment, kids will LOVE Boo Fest. Although there is a designated kid friendly area, there are plenty of experiences around the park for your little one to enjoy. In this post, I will list some of our favorite experiences at Great Adventure during the day!
Must Do Experiences at Kids Boo Fest
Scarecrow Street
Scarecrow Street is your first Halloween encounter as you enter the park. During the day, it is not scary so don’t worry. As you walk down Main Street, you will catch a glimpse of various scarecrows. Have your little ones count how many they see or spot the differences? You can also talk about what kind of scarecrow they want to make at home!
Take Photos
Everywhere you look is an amazing photo opportunity at Six Flags Great Adventure. There are several not so scary spots such as hay bales, pumpkins, corn stalks, and even the giant fountain. Guests can also take pictures with roaming entertainers and characters.
Enjoy Oktoberfest
Also happening this fall is Oktoberfest! This exciting food festival filled with German tradition takes place in the heart of Six Flags Great Adventure. Guests can enjoy traditional German fare like Bratwurst, Kielbasa, potato pancakes, and German chocolate cake (to name a few). Little ones will also love watching the juggler and one man band.
Corn Stalk National Park
As you enter Bugs Bunny National Park, Kids Boo Fest really takes over! Transformed into Corn Stalk National Park, this is a hub for all things KIDS. Here are some of the activities kids (and kids at heart) can enjoy:
- Corn Stalk Maze: Don’t worry, you can’t get lost in this one but it’s tons of fun.
- Hay Bale Maze: A great place for little ones to explore and play.
- Kid Friendly Rides
- Trick or Treat Trail: Kids can stop at various locations to pick up a sweet treat.
- Photos with Characters: You never know who you might see at Kids Boo Fest!
- Witch’s Brew: A fun show at the Wilderness Theater hosted by your friendly neighborhood witch.
What experience will your little ones be most excited about?
*It is important to note that at 5:30pm the ghouls come out to play so if you don’t want to get scared, then you will want to exit the park at that time.
