Mountain Creek
If you are looking for excitement and adventure this winter, then Mountain Creek is the place for you! In addition to over 167 acres of trails on 4 mountain peaks with over 40 trails ranging in difficulty as well as 8 lifts from magic carpets to high-speed quads, Mountain Creek also offers snow tubing. This is a fun winter adventure for the entire family! Guests must be 5 years old and up and at least 42” tall to go tubing, and reservations must be made in advance. Tickets are $30/person.
Campgaw Mountain
Located in Mahwah, NJ, Campgaw Mountain offers family adventures all winter long with skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Snow tubing is available for guests 42” and taller, and reservations are highly recommended. What I love about Campgaw snow tubing is that guests can not only ride their tube down the hill, but UP the hill as well. How cool is that?! Ticket prices vary based on the day of the week.
Hopatcong State Park
Okay, so this one isn’t an official tubing location but as a North Jersey girl, I had to share it! Located on Lake Hopatcong, Hopatcong State Park offers an amazing tubing and sledding experience for all ages. Plus, it is FREE. You just need to bring your own tube and some friends for a fun and exciting winter experience!
Poconos, PA
Shawnee Mountain
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is an amazing ski location that caters to the entire family! With 23 slopes and trails, 2 terrain parks, 6 lifts, 4 carpets, and snow tubing, there is winter fun for everyone. Shawnee offers both single and tandem tubes making it the perfect snow tubing destination for families. Children must be at least 4 years old to tube. Snow tubing is available daily, and tickets must be purchased online in advance of your visit. Tickets cost $32/weekday and $45/weekend and holiday.
Camelback Mountain
With over 160 acres to explore with 39 trails and 16 lifts, ski goers from all over can’t help but love Camelback Mountain. Located in Tannersville, PA, Camelback Mountain offers 40 lanes of snow tubing fun. What makes them even more unique is their Galactic Tubing experience which is a night time event where the lanes are lit up for even more excitement. Camelback also offers magic carpets that bring you back up the mountain after you enjoy your exhilarating ride down. Guests must be at least 44” to ride alone, while guests 33”-43” can ride tandem with a rider that is 18+ years old.
Montage Mountain
In addition to over 25 trails ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced with 7 lifts along with a terrain park, Montage Mountain also offers snow tubing. Located in Scranton, PA, Montage Mountain is the perfect destination for families because it offers a Kiddie Tubing hill for kids 32”-41” tall. Guests 42” and taller can enjoy the main tubing park. Day and night time tubing are available. Tickets are $30 Monday-Thursday and $50 weekends and holidays.
Blue Mountain
With 40 trails and 16 lifts open day and night, Blue Mountain in Palmerton, PA will get any skier and snowboarder excited for winter adventures, but they also offer an exciting snow tubing experience! Their website boasts that they are the home to the “longest and fasted lanes in PA!” They offer 46 lanes that are 1000 feet in length, and guests can choose single or double tubes. Snow tubing is available Thursday-Sunday and is offered in 3 hour sessions. Guests must be at least 36” tall to ride.
New York
Hunter Mountain
Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY may be a little farther of a drive from NJ, but it is packed with winter fun. With over 60 trails, 13 lifts and 3 terrain parks, Hunter Mountain offers all day fun for individuals of all ages and levels. There is also a snow tubing park with over 20 chutes close to 1000 feet long. Guests must be at least 36” to ride, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $25/single tube and $35/double tube (1 adult and 1 child).
Mount Peter
Originally started in 1936 by Macy’s to show off and sell ski fashion, Mount Peter, located in Warwick, NY, offers winter fun for the entire family. It has 13 trails, 6 lifts and 1 terrain park. It also offers a snow tubing area including the Little Tikes Tubing Play Area for kids under 42” tall. Plus, the main tubing hill offers a magic carpet so you don’t have to climb up the mountain with your tube. Tickets are $35/adult and $25/tiny tikes. They also offer group rates.
