Enhances Academic Knowledge
Since SmartMax toys are made with such bold colors it’s perfect for reinforcing color recognition. As we played, I had my children identify the trucks by the colors they were made of. They then had to match the colors to the picture of the vehicle they wanted to make. We also worked on our math skills by talking about how many wheels each vehicle had and how many were needed to create their truck of choice. We even took it a step further by using basic addition to figure out how many wheels certain trucks had in total.
Fosters Language Development
When playing with SmartMax Rescue Team, my kids created fun stories and dialogues about what the trucks were doing and where they were going. On a more basic level, kids can improve vocabulary and labeling skills such as colors, shapes, sizes and vehicle names. Lastly, receptive language is improved as kids learn to follow directions given by their parents. This, in turn, helps improve focus and attention as well.
As kids play with the Rescue Team trucks, they create stories which increases language development.
Improves Fine Motor Skills
Clicking each piece together helps strengthen fine motor control and hand-eye coordination. Patience when completing fine motor tasks is also improved as it can take practice to click each piece together, especially the tires. The fine motor skills developed while playing this game will help children in school with regards to writing.

Playing with SmartMax Rescue Team offers so many opportunities for imaginary and pretend play. Kids can create their own worlds and stories using their vehicles and other SmartMax pieces. Introduces the Scientific Concept of Magnetism
SmartMax toys offer fun through magnetic discovery. When building and creating kids learn the basics about magnetic polarity. Kids also build problem solving skills as they have to figure out which bars can connect and how to make bars connect when the magnets “push away” from each other. For example, when the red and yellow bars would not connect, we learned to use the metal ball in between them.
