Holiday Games and Prizes

Holiday in the Park Game

I love when amusement parks offer holiday themed games and prizes, and Great Adventure did not disappoint. There were so many fun games to choose from and all of them offered contactless payment. Our favorite game was Knock the Elf Off the Shelf. My son was so excited to win an adorable snowman hat!

S’mores and Hot Chocolate by the Fire

Scattered around the park are fire pits. Families can stop to warm up for a bit or roast some marshmallows to make s’mores. There are also 2 locations where guests can sit at picnic tables and/or Adirondack chairs and enjoy the fire. Guests over 21 can enjoy spiked hot chocolate, apple cider, or egg nog too!

A Walk by the Water

Joy to the World at Holiday in the Park

A hidden gem at Great Adventure is the walkway by the waterfront. I love how peaceful and beautiful it is. There are even benches to sit and relax. For Holiday in the Park, there is a beautiful display representing Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas.

Oh Christmas Tree

Christmas Tree at Holiday in the Park

All around the park there are gorgeous Christmas trees of all shapes, sizes and colors. Some are traditional trees with twinkling lights while others are made of confetti. There is even a tree made of poinsettias. The most unique tree we found, however, was made of moose antlers!

The Lights (of course)!

Holiday in the ParkThere are so many locations around the park that offer spectacular light displays. Over in Deck the Halls by Superman, you will find a gorgeous Christmas ornament and presents (pictured above), and while exploring Polar Point, guests can admire trees adorned with brilliant blue lights and twinkling icicles. As you stroll around the park, make sure to notice all the beautiful Christmas Trees and displays too. Lastly, don’t miss Holiday Magic: A Celebration of the Season located at the center Christmas Tree. It is a spectacular show!
