Win The Floogals: Mission Complete DVD

As ambassadors for NCircle Entertainment we look forward to sharing with our readers educational and engaging entertainment for children as well as offering giveaways.

Imagine friendly aliens arriving at Earth! What would they think about our world? What would they observe? What would they think about our possessions, interactions and activities? The Floogals are three aliens that measure only a few inches high. After landing in the backyard of a family, their spaceship is picked up and brought into the home as it looks like a child’s toy. The Floogals consist of Fleeker, Boomer and Flo. The team has been sent to observe “hoomans” to learn about them and share the information with their home planet.

Due to our partnership with NCircle, we reviewed The Floogals: Mission Complete. This DVD consists of eight episodes totaling 95 minutes. While the Floogals are animated, the background is live action. Each episode has the extraterrestrial creatures learn one facet about our lives like puzzles to mail. As soon as the music starts, it maintains an upbeat and light sound that grabs my children’s attention. It is a great addition to a toddler’s video library.

Out of this World for Preschoolers

Encourages Observation

The three characters are responsible for observing “hoomans” which is a wonderful introduction for little ones to learn about items and activities in their everyday lives very similar to how Mr. Rogers introduced ideas. Another layer that I appreciate is that the show encourages children to use observational skills.

Promotes Critical Thinking

From their observations, the Floogals then deduct. When the Floogals were learning about mail, they first thought that people lived in the blue mailbox. While this was an incorrect deduction, through investigation they found out how mail works. At the conclusion of each episode, the Floogals send a report to their home planet. It’s fun to listen to their explanations.

All About Teamwork

The Floogals work together as a team. Each has their own strength and makes contributions to their team. When Boomer is separated from the team, they can’t recite their pledge as they are missing part of the group. Since taking turns and cooperating is a skill set that has to be learned, it is great that they highlight this concept in each episode.
