As ambassadors for NCircle Entertainment we look forward to sharing with our readers educational and engaging entertainment for children as well as offering giveaways.
Exposing children to words through playful animation is a fun method to engage children as well as teach them to appreciate and learn words. KIWI is a stop animation television show that focuses around two main characters, Twiki and Twini, that are Kiwi birds. The episodes are not long which is perfect for early learner’s attention span and follow the characters on their adventures. The kiwis expose children to new words that they spell out phonetically using animation. The Season One DVD includes 26 different episodes, and the video lasts a total of 135 minutes.
Reasons KIWI Encourages
Early Learning Skills
Exposes Children to Words
Twiki and Twini bring toddlers on their adventures which exposes them to new vocabulary words. This is a great link between new words as well as phonetic spelling. The characters will spell out the words, however, each letter is illustrated to appear like the word. For example, the word “present” in a Christmas episode looks like a present with a bow and ribbon on some of the letters.
Moves at a Relaxed Pace
KIWI moves at a relaxed and calm pace which is perfect for little learners. The music is mellow, the colors are soft and the storylines are simple and focused for young children. I was quite surprised how long my children were entertained by KIWI. I feel like this television show is perfect when early learners want to watch TV but, at the same time, you want to encourage their education. KIWI deviates from other television shows with its design and pace. I think that coupled with its educational component, KIWI is a fun and appropriate television show for young learners.
